A group from Billerica Youth Hockey recently received a thrill when it was hosted by the Boston Bruins.

Thanks to IBEW Local 103 and NECA Greater Boston, kids from Billerica Youth Hockey experienced the excitement of National Hockey League play up close when the Bruins hosted rival Montreal on Jan. 24 at the TD Garden.

The outing was part of the Community Power Play initiative. The young players received Bruins player jerseys and met Blades the Bruin mascot.

“IBEW Local 103 is proud to continue this partnership and the opportunities it creates for young fans in our communities,” said Lou Antonellis, business manager of IBEW Local 103. “Welcoming kids to TD Garden, sharing the excitement of a live game, seeing their faces light up — this is what Community Power Play is all about. It’s connection, inspiration, and showing them what teamwork and dedication can accomplish, and creating memories that will stay with them long after the final buzzer.”
